The 2024-25 Budget provides $216 million to create safe and inclusive learning environments for Saskatchewan students and teachers.
Budget highlights include:
- $165.9 million to support 11 ongoing new or consolidated school projects and three major renovations in:
- Balgonie
- Carlyle
- Saskatoon
- Regina
- Prince Albert
- Moose Jaw
- Lanigan
- La Loche
- Wilcox
- $28.5 million for relocatable classrooms to increase space for schools facing growing enrolments.
- $12.8 million for minor capital renewal projects that will allow school divisions to address structural repairs and renovations.
- $8.8 million for planning nine new schools and two major renovations, including:
- Pinehouse Minahik Waskahigan High School Replacement;
- Regina East Joint-Use Elementary School;
- Regina East Joint-Use High School;
- Saskatoon East Joint-Use Elementary School;
- Saskatoon East Joint-Use High School;
- South Corman Park School Renovation; and
- Swift Current Comprehensive High School Renovation.
- The Government of Saskatchewan has committed approximately $2.6 billion toward school capital since 2008-09.
- This includes 65 new schools, 32 major renovation projects and seven projects approved through the Minor Capital Renewal Program.
